Talk Title: Near-field channel modeling for RIS-enabled UAV communications
This talk focuses on near-field channel modeling for RIS-enabled UAV communications. While RIS significantly boosts UAV communication performance, 3D mobility of UAVs and dense arrays of RIS result in traditional far-field assumptions no longer applicable, posing challenges like hybrid near-far field propagation. We analyze unique channel characteristics, propose a sub-array partition for hybrid near-far-field modeling, providing references for the design of efficient RIS-enabled UAV communications systems.
