Talk abstract

With the growing demand for high-speed and reliable connectivity in intelligent transportation and vehicular networks, conventional antenna technologies are gradually approaching their performance limits in multi-user interference suppression. Fluid Antenna Systems (FAS), with their fine spatial degrees of freedom and structural flexibility, offer new possibilities for forming interference nulls in multi-user scenarios and provide the physical basis for Fluid Antenna Multiple Access (FAMA). In high-mobility vehicular environments, however, the delay between port selection and port usage causes the vehicle to move, rapidly misaligning the inherently narrow interference nulls and degrading FAMA selection performance. This talk will address this challenge by examining how vehicle motion, pilot noise, and spatial sampling jointly affect null depth, introducing a "motion-as-scanner" design perspective, and discussing the resulting probe scheduling problem and future research directions.
